“The King’s Speech”

On the weekend I went to see (again) “The King’s Speech” with a good friend of mine.

This is one of the most beautifully crafted movies I have ever had the pleasure of seeing.

In addition to the acting, directing, cinematography, score… the element that really grabs you is the storyline.  You are truly taken back to another time and place.  A time when we had just started to recover from “the war to end all wars”.  A time when Hitler and Stalin were starting to make inroads…

…and the personal story of a man and his inability to express himself.  Whether he is the King of England or the person next door ~ the struggle is an innately human one ~ and this movie tackles its subject brilliantly.

Until next time…

Leigh
